It is raining again, so I just sit some stairs below a balcony and start the story:

I had a bit remorse about not leaving every case closed as usual, but anyway I let it go and on friday I did a goodby round in the BP night, to the new kertem, took a look t o ITI at rosaria, but they didn’t sell beer and nothing for cash, so moved to Kis A to check the concert of Marci-s ban, where I met Peti from varpalota, who bought us free shots, and finished at akvarium terrace… 

So travelled with hangover again, woke up at 7 left the flat at 9 , tram, metro, bus to the airport…

It was strange but good to no need to get to the line and check in the luggage, I already checked in online, and travel w hand luggage,  just cross the security check…

I let them to give me now a credit card, with 20 k wizzair coupons, (btw best way to get rid of credit card offers in the airport, tell then you are unemployed, they just turn off from you like you have plague ) I ate a grander in KFC and last smoke in Sky terrace…

Flight to madrid was nothing special watched series , airport was  familiar from last summer , great wifi, I had 5 hours to switch flights, I smoked and kept watching  series, then when battery ruined out I found a bar with plug so I had 2 beers there,

Till now luggage size was not checked in any flights so  i didn’t need to separate my things to to . 

I arrived porto in the night, got familiar w local public transport what is like you get a paper card for like 50 c and you can refill that one or more trips. 

The metro from the airport brought me straightly to the hostel, the name was Andarhillo Oporto, it was in the downtown in pretty good location, though porto is not large city anyway. The hostel was great, ruin bar hippi feeling, with nice terrace and garden what was not usable thanks to rains,  

I met the  receptionist from russia, and w the night receptionist too who from Ireland, I had nice conversation both of them with a few beers. The irish girl was really funny, live like a gipsy , They started traveling with her friend half year ago w a van, and did volunteer works for  few weeks in some places. The other guests was a big group of danish students, they talked in dutch, so I didn’t catch anything,

I arrived after 10 so I only went to the city to buy some beers, I was told that after 10 I cannot buy alcohol just in bars, bat luckily it was not true, I found pakistani shop where they sell everything nonstop. 

Nigtht was really cold, without heating,  next day I get some extra blankets, so then it was ok.

Next morning the weather changed like every 10 minutes, rainy / sunny, I started to discover the city, I got a map about what is worth to see, but as usually I do I just started walking and getting lost, then i will check if I missed sg. 

Porto is really nice, I liked it a lot, nice old buildings narrow streets, only made form rock,  it is hilly a lot, so ups and downs every time. They drive crazy, if the car fits in a narrow street with closed mirrors they will do it. 

Then I walked to the riverside, and bumped to a running race, some World run thing, w strange rules, no fix distance, a “bull” chase the runners and if catch you, your race is over. Actually bull was a mini w red bull painting, I guess red bull was the sponsor of the race. 

So I started walking opposite to the runners along the river, enjoyed the view of opposite  of the riverside the city of Gaia , the houses, runners…

after a few km-s I get to the ocean, it was windy and wavy, and walked towards to north…I found a great terrace where I drank a well earned  nice glass of beer. But when i just payed the beer, big storm just came so i needed to drink one more, what a pity :)

Then I walked toward to the metro station, I found a nice supermarket with restaurant, I ate great pasta with sea things for 2 eur , and a baguette w pork for 1,5. Usually I like supermarket restaurant cos I always the cheapest places to eat and I can see what I order, what is important when you are picky like me, and don’t speak the language. 

After this big circle I went back to the downtown by metro, Put the stuff from the supermarket to the hostel and Started an other small walk to the east part of the riverside. 

Btw I’m afraid of heights, and it is getting worse and worse, I couldn’t manage to cross the bridge where the sidewalk was just iron with holes, and you can see the water under your feet. Also there is a great bridge between porto and Gaia, with 2 floors, and on upper floor there is a tram line  and a sidewalk only separated with small sticks. I seemed really unsafe to me and also it was really high, so on the 3rd part I turned back. 

I don’t get cos I don’t afraid in planes. 

Then I checked an old district on the way to the hostel, and in the night I talked again w the irish girl and a guy from modena italy.

Next day , weather was even more windy and rainy I watched a GOT and a big bang theory  in the morning and I started to discover the other side of the river. 

The 2 floor bridge was really awesome, I just wondered and took pictures about the bridge for line an hour. 

The ground flor was not so terrifying so I crossed the bridge to Gaia, what is also hilly, i went to some castle, ate sg form supermarket, and went to the riverside to the west where there  is a nice fishing village. This colorful houses with tiles are really nice and interesting. 

Then started raining again and I catched a bus to go  back to porto, and I try to walk a bit more but rain dint want to stop so I went back to the hostel by metro . 

It the night we celebrated a german girl’s 19th birthday, they smoked weed (what is really common in portugal everywhere) I drank few beers, then they went out to party but I was still wet so I skipped that. 

Next day it kept raining so I just had some breakfast wrote some blog and watched sg, then went to the airport around noon. 

Flight was nothing special, but it was a bit delay I arrived to Lisbon to the Oasis Backpackers hostel around 6. I did a small walk after check in  but it got dark so not far, I checked the view and went back to the hostel, what was also great with bar, beer 2 eur , shot is 1. The Hostel had a nice garden, I had some talk with germans argentinian guy and burlgarian girl, there was guitar and music, and I went bed around midnight, 

I slept well, woke up around 9, but cos there was rain again, after breakfast I took a nap …my only hope  that Hajni promised me that in canaries will be nice weather next week.

So that was porto, next will be about lisbon...

Please be aware, english is not my biggest strength  so you can find quite funny word / grammar  mistakes. Think about these as inside jokes you can also laugh. 

As Bea and Hajni also moved back to Canari islands, I decided to check the pace to, there is sg in what catches people living there.

And since I spend last half year in hungary, I felt the desire to move again, even for  just 2 weeks, so I started to check ticket prices.

You can find great deals in skyscanner if you are bit skilled and flexible. The first trick everyone knows is searching backward - you need to find cheep destinations from the place you want to go.

And then finally turned out I can leave for 2 week vacation,  I decided to check Portugal for few days it is too  on the way. When I shared this w my friends they told me beside lisbon, porto is also worth to see. 

I investigated very thoroughly from where and when is the cheapest tickets are, I even made excel about prices :) Finally I had 2 option left, and I chose to visit portugal on the way to canaries rather then when come back, cos although  that option was cheaper, It needed to stay one night in Madrid, what I visited last year. 

The final  route will be Bp - Madrid -  Porto / Porto - Liszabon / Liszabon - Porto - Tenerife ( yes, back to porto, this way is way more cheaper) / gran canaria - Bp, 6 flights for 65 k HUF (around 220 eur) with hand luggage only.

The ryanair is better than wizzair in the hand luggage rules, they allow one normal and a small to bring to the cabin by free. Wizzair only allow a small, and they charge you if you want to bring normal. 

Now I bring only one  normal hand luggage size backpack.  Although it is a bit deeper than allowed, so if they check it is fits, I will have to separate it to 2.

This is the debut of my new backpack, - osprey far point 40 - perfect fit to hand luggage rules and nice blue - it was expensive , but comfortable, with laptop sleeve, straps can be hidden - it will save me money for sure in my following travels. 

I think  if you bring 70 l backpack, you can fit itto 40 liter too, just you need not to bring what was not used often last time.  Of course it needs get rid of fashion…

As weather forecasts said rain and 12-16 C in porugal (they kept this promise unf) I need to bring also jeans, raincoat, pullover and shoes in my pack.

So in my backpack:

I put 6 T.shirts (i picked nice colours as I like to dress fashionable :) 3 west (underwest?) for the canaries, underpants and socks for a week, a flipflop ,  1 long sleeve t-shirt, one pullover , 2 shorts, 1 winning / running short , 1 towel, my new nice yellow wind coat (i have also a HH raincoat and a low budget one, what could be better choise, just I like this one’s color, and this is also breathe better. I will find out how much this one can candle rain (quite we’ll) 

I also bring a comfy jeans and my favorite nike free 2.0 running shoe. I prefer travel with running shoes than hiking shoes (what i also have a few pairs) cos for me shoe rather be very light and comfortable, breathable than weatherproof. At least this one dries easily. And also I can do runs with tis one. 

And for rain flip-flops is the best when weather is good. 

Now ny converse stays home, I like converses just I hardy ever use that in my last trip, and it is not so comfortable.

1 baseball cap (mostly for rainy weather) 5 l waterproof bag, one small bag for one day trips.

For health: 2x100 ml liquid soap and suncream, tooth paste and tooth brush , pills (for head the pink algoflex, for stomach imodium, for waking up coffin pills, and small pills  for allergy (unf till last spring i have some allergy for an unknown thing) A 7 dl  empty bottle - for tap water refills. It is really nice in europe that tap water is most places drinkable. You can even refill an entry bottle after airport security checking for free. 

Fro pleasure - a carton of camel , 10 musli bars, 2 apples .

Locks (small and big) glasses and sunglasses.

Gadgets: macbook air 11’, iphone SE 64 gb + chargers, old  iPhone for backup or foreign sim, a xiaomi power bank, a pen drive and a hard drive with films and music.

I don’t bring camera except my phone, it is really enough for me 

And of course master card, 2 cards , ID and passport, money in the cards

I wanted to pack that every thing can fit in the 40 l backpack, even If I wear only short and flip-flops. 

What I left home, a backpack rain cover , i totally forget about that, but i have big and small, so i m not sure any of them fits to this medium size luggage. 

That is all I bring now, I think it is quite good pack, without any unnecceraly things, I will use everything. 

And that is quite the same I need  for a half year vacation  too + maybe  my electric haircutter and a razor. 

So next time content will be about Porto. 

Előkészületek : kitaláltam h idén ha mar Hajni es bea is visszaköltözött kanari rá akkor en is megnézem mer lehet abban a szigetekben valami ha mar úgy visszajár mindenki. Meg mar fel eve itthon, szoval mehetnekem volt, hacsak ket hetre is de mar tavasszal...

Kezdtem nézelődni h akkor mivel mennyi oda vissza, es egész jó arakat ki lehet fogni skyscanner en ha ügyes az ember - visszafelé keresni alap meg hasonlók - na mikor kialakult kb mikor mehetek szabira, es elenged a főni 2 hétre akk gondoltam oda v vissza meg kene pár nap Portugália is, Liszabon meg Porto t nagyon mondtak h ha Liszabon akkor oda is. Összeirtam hova melyik nap van olcsó repjegy igen apalosan

Két opció volt oda fele v visszafelé legyen portugál végül alaposan megvizsgálva mindent ( remek Excel t csináltam) a visszafelé talán olcsobb lett volna de egy nappal rövidebb + Madridban kellett volna éjszakázni 1et ami drága meg felesleges tavaly megvolt. 

En amugy csak egy nagy kézi-t viszek vagyis mivel az új zsak kicsit mélységbe túl lóg a limiten egybe kicsit + nagyot. Ha nagyon mernek ketteszedem majd. 

Mit viszek most? 

Új hátizsákot avatok - osprey farpoint 40 l - szép kék - pont kézipoggyász méret - drága volt de imádom, pont ami kell kenylemes, jol pakolhato, laptoptartó, zippzarral elrejthető hati pantok es sokat sporol nekem   - es ami elfér 70 l-Ben abban van annyi felesleg a tavalyi év alapján h elég legyen okosabban a 40 is, 

jó jó azért ennyiből nem lehet nagyon valltozatosan - mindenből egy -  

Mondjuk így h esőt meg 12-16 fokot  ígértek végig Portugáliába ( es be is tartottak) be kell férjen cipő meg esőkabát , pulcsi, famer is sajnos.  

A  táskában lett 6 póló szép színesek is azzal majd kielem magam + 3 atléta majd kanarira, a flipflop, egy hetre gatyak/zoknik, 2 rövidnaci  1 törcsi, egy hosszuujju póló (leégés ellen  v ha pulcsi kevés) egy vékony pulcsi a szép új sárga szeldzsekim (ok a HH-om nyilvan okosabb valasztas lett volna vagy akar az aldos mindkettő fóliázott varrásos, de nem szellőznek, de viszont ez meg szép sárga, és talan valamennyivel szellősebb, majd kiderül hogy bírja az esőt ( egész jól)) 

Jön még 1 farmer meg a nike Free 2.0 futocipo. A legkenyelmesebb cipő, az nagyon fontos. A converse most marad, tavaly se kellett.  

Nekem azer inkabb futocipo nem túra, (mert van az is)  mert inkább legyen nagyon könnyű nagyon kényelmes es jól szellozo mint vízálló. Könnyen szárad az.  És ha futni megyek arra is jó. Amugy esőbe flipflop a legjobb ha jó idő. 

Meg 1   baseball sapi ( leginkabbaz is  eső ellen) egy vízálló 5 l-es szutyo, meg a "tornazsak" - egy napra mászkálni meg ha szét kell pakolni a cuccot. 

Eü cuccom : 2x 100 ml tusfürdő, naptej, fogkrem fogkefe bogyok (fejre algo hasra imodium, almossagre koffein, allergiara is tabi -sajna tavaly óta kell) Egy üres 7 decis flakon - remek dolog a csapvíz - reptéri refill. 

Elvezetek: 1 Karton camel, vagy 10 muzliszelet veszhelyzetre 2 alma, a lakatok (kicsi táska zippzarra nagy a locker hez) , szemüveg tokkal (ez meg tavaly elott óta kell :(  ) 1 napszemüveg tokkal. 

A kütyük:  A  MacBook air 11' , a tokja + töltő , iPhone se 64 gb + töltő ( végre nem nyavalyog 20 kép után h tele van) az iPhone 5 backupnak v külföldi simnek,  egy xiaomi powerbank , 1 pendrive egy külső vinyo zenekkel filmekkel ha unatkoznek es meg wi-fi se  (ezek feleslegesek sztm de befértek). Fényképező külön nem jön, nincs is, sztm a telo tok elég +  a téma ugyis a lényeg.

Meg a mastercard: 2 bankkartya, útlevél + személyi. Pénz a kartyan :) Az fontos.

 

Úgy akartam amugy pakolni  h minden beférjen a 40 l es hatiba, meg ha póló es flipflop rövidnaci lenne is rajtam csak.
